Merry Christmas!!!!

So, here it is that I am finally getting around to writing about what I love to do most- CRAFT. Something about crafting sincerely soothes the hurting soul; at least for me. One of the things I would like to "talk"about is the recent creation that I have made in loving memory of my dad. He passed away this September and making this ornament for him was a sure fire way that some of the pain would heal. It was easy and results are beautiful!!! So here's to you Dad. My very first blog post is dedicated to you... Rest in Peace...
Ok so you will be seeing a picture of the completed project but I will be going step by step just so that it is fool proof. The ornaments that you see are somewhat completed. One has the full vinyl, one is just glitter and the other is just an ornament with the glitter added...
Ok so for starters these are GLASS ornaments. You can also purchase the plastic kind. It is truly a matter of preference. I like the glass. I  purchased these at a local A.C. Moore and used a coupon.  Next you will need glitter. After some trial and error I found that the Recollections Extra Fine Glitter work best!!! And the results are in the picture.  See below:

These are the colors I used, however you could purchase the variety pack that samples an entire array of different colors and you could have more choices. Using a coupon will also help with the price also. For the next item you will need Pledge Floor Care Finish. Yes, Pledge. I promise it will make sense. Now, at this point you will also need some vinyl for the lettering, however simple decorating with ribbons, feathers, flowers, etc will make a fabulous ornament. Get creative!

Easy Steps
1) Pour about a tablespoon of the Pledge inside of the ornament. Carefully. You want to avoid those nasty little bubbles that will make a clumpy mess out of your glitter inside of the ball.
2) Swish it around gently. Covering the entire inside of the ornament, even down to where the little cover is.
3) Pour the excess Pledge out. And let it drip back inside the bottle; this ensures that if you have any bubbles they drip right out.
4) Pour the glitter. Now to give an exact amount is tough. The glitter has to cover the entire inside of the ornament. I would venture to say about 2 Tablespoons. Shake the glitter the same way you did with the pledge and VOILA! Glittered ornament that is absolutely beautiful and inexpensive. Here is where you would add the vinyl if you so choose!

Thanks for reading and
